🌿 APK and Kääntöpiiri Day Trip: Tropical Escape to Ruissalo! 🌿
Looking for a break from studies? Do you want to soak up the dazzling sun or tropical warmth? Join Academic scout guild (APK) and Kääntöpiiri for a relaxing visit to the University of Turku Botanical Garden! We’ll explore over 5000 plant species across the exotic greenhouses and the beautiful outdoor waterlily ponds. The plan is to walk on the outisde gardens and then head inside to the Greenhouse.
🚌 We will meet at the entrance at 12:45 PM, on Saturday April 18th, 2026. If you go by bus you can take Föli Bus 28, which departs from bus stop “Market Square (City centre) A8” at 12:30 PM to arrive right at the garden gates.
💰 Price: Outdoor gardens are free to explore, but Greenhouse entry is 12 € for adults or 6 € with a valid student card. Museum card is accepted there as well.
🌻 Keep in mind: Since the garden is a center for research and conservation, we ask all participants to follow the Official Comfort Rules:
– Stay on the paths: Please do not walk on the flower beds.
– Look, don’t pick: Breaking branches or collecting plant parts is strictly prohibited.
– Photography: Feel free to take souvenir photos for private use!
